Shelby
Shelby has been adopted by Joe & Ann in Loomis. Shelby joins little sable sheltie sister, Lilly in this home full of well loved and cared for rescue dogs and cats. Shelby had limited exposure to the world and so she is being gently led into new, safe environments and situations to help with her confidence. Obedience and agility are on the horizon for this pretty girl.
Buddy V
Buddy settled right into his new home with owner Hollye and his new senior sheltie sister. Picked up as a stray by a central valley shelter and unclaimed and clearly neglected, Buddy has cleaned up beautifully and is quickly acclimating to his new family.
Abbie
Abbie, renamed to Gemma by her adopter due to her being such a gem, is acclimating to her new home near the Oregon coast with kitty roommates and a dachshound brother.
Phoebe
I just wanted to let you know that Phoebe has been a fabulous addition to our family. We couldn't have asked for a more wonderful dog, and our daughter just loves her new best friend. Thank you so much!
Erika, Jim, and Sarah
Angel & Taffy
Mother daughter duo Angel and Taffy have been adopted by Lucie & Frank who live near Lake Berryessa. We are thrilled that these two will live out their lives together. They have never been a part since Taffy was born 11 years ago. Her mother, Angel, is 12, wouldn't know what to do! Lucie and Frank have been sheltie rescue angels for years. We are so grateful to them for their generous hearts!
Rocky III
Stephanie and Bob in Novato have happily added Rocky to their family. He joins his new big brother, Beau, a Golden Retriever.
Gypsy
The beautiful Gypsy has found love with Vickie and with two new canine siblings.
Callie
One of many who came to Rescue due to a large confiscation, Callie, is one happy girl. She has a new cattle dog sister who can play, play, play all the day long.
Casey
Casey found her new home with Lucie and Frank and many other adopted rescue dogs. She loves being surrounded by her pack and having lots of room to run and play.
Christmas
The holidays came early for Christmas when her senior owner's nephew drove from Sebastopol to Palm Springs to get her when her owner died. Christmas got all her veterinary care up-to-date at the Washington Squre Veterinary Clinic in Sebastopol including a major dental, then into foster care for a couple of days before Helen in Foster City snapped up Christmas. It was a whirlwind trip through Rescue with wonderful results!
Parfait
Parfait joined the loving household of Cheri and Steve, along with fellow Shelties, Ranger and Bailey (both rescued from NorCal Sheltie Rescue) and a Lab mix named Xena. She's living the good life on rural property.
Prance
After losing their beloved Prince, a poster boy from NorCal Sheltie Rescue, Terri and John decided to adopt another rescue Sheltie. It wasn't long until they found their new companion, a lovely male with a lively gait. They named him Prance and he's already helping to heal their broken hearts.
Rusty
Rusty joined fellow rescue Sheltie, Jasper, in the loving home of Carolyn and Fred. The two have been inseparable from day one, playing nonstop and doing zoomies throughout the house.
Shandy
Shandy had to find a new home when her owner's circumstances changed. She lucked out when she found Martin and family and is adjusting beautifully to her new life.
Bella
Bella found a wonderful new home with Freda and is happy as can be in her new family.
Cody
Cody was a stray with quite a few issues when he came to NorCal Sheltie Rescue's attention. Thanks to his foster mom, Marianne, he was soon responding well to training and learning some manners. Marianne couldn't resist his charms and wound up adopting him.
Fancy
Gail and Marty were looking for a Sheltie companion when Fancy came along. It took a while for her to adjust to living inside rather than outside, but they persevered and she is now a beloved member of the family.
Wink
Bullwinkle (aka "Wink") had so many medical issues when he came into rescue that we weren't sure we could save him. Thanks to loving foster care from Karen, he was eventually stable, healthy, and adoptable. An absolute sweetheart and friend to all children, Wink was adopted by Annette. He continues to charm everyone he meets, a great ambassador for the breed.
Duchess
Duchess found a new forever home with Bill and Jackie, a sheltie-loving couple in Danville who. like many of our adopters has a history of making shelties a part of their family for many years. Duchess spends her days romping on a beautiful property near Mt. Diablo; going for long walks and receiving treats from the nice man at the security kiosk in their gated community.
Merlyn (aka Mars)
Merlyn, the former heartworm positive young boy, has come through his treatment with flying colors and good health He. has already embarked on his new home with Susan and Dean in Davis.
It is Susan’s hope that she and Merlyn will become a certified Therapy Dog/Handler team and she has researched and begun the process of enrollment in a local program. She is also hoping to participate in Rally and Nose Work to keep Merlyn busy and focused.
